The COSORI Air Fryer Recall – Everything You Need To Know
Hey guys, today is just going to be a quick post to inform you of everything having to do with the COSORI air fryer recall. My attention was brought to it personally because I’m a big fan of these appliances! In fact, I talk about how much I love my COSORI in this review. But I want to do my part in spreading the message to those who might not be aware of the recall yet.
Which COSORI air fryers are under recall?
It’s important to note that not all of COSORI’s air fryers are being recalled. Only the ones with the following model numbers…

- CAF-P581-BUSR
- CAF-P581-AUSR
- CAF-P581-RUSR
- CP137-AF
- CP137-AF-RXB
- CP137-AF-RXR

- CS158-AF
- CS158-AF-RXB
- CS158-AF-R19
- CAF-P581S-BUSR
- CAF-P581S-RUSR
- CAF-P581S-AUSR
- C0137-AF
- CO158-AF

You can easily find the model number on the bottom label of your COSORI air fryer, or on the user manual if you still have it.
These models contain unit sizes ranging from 3.7 to 5.8 quarts; they come in the colors of black, gray, and white as well as the more colorful blue and red options; and about two million of these units were sold in the US alone.
Why were they recalled?
The COSORI air fryer recall was triggered by 205 reports filed in regards to the units overheating, smoking, melting, and even catching fire and burning. These reports included instances where minor property damage and superficial burn injuries were sustained because of the malfunctions.
What’s the suggested course of action?
The recall states that if you own one of the air fryers mentioned then you need to cease using it immediately.
If you own one of these units then you are eligible for a free replacement of your choice from COSORI that is either another air fryer. All you have to do is go to the Cosori website and provide your contact information along with a picture of the recalled unit with the cord cut off.
I know that I’ll be sending the information in and receiving my replacement soon! (Update: I received my replacement and gave it to my daughter since I decided to purchase an upgraded COSORI model. She says it works great!)
